It all began with a blood test….
ALPHA Men’s Health is the brainchild of Greg and Kawai Elsborg of Southlake, TX. In late 2022, Kawai encouraged Greg to get a blood test and have his labs checked for the first time, as he approached 40 years old, and had been going through a rough patch, including depression, anxiety, weight gain, and muscle atrophy.
Greg feared that this was middle age setting in, and that his joie de vivre was gone forever. When the bloodwork came back, both Greg and Kawai were shocked to find that Greg had ‘the Testosterone levels of a 90 year old’. Seeking treatment, Greg began Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT), coupled with a rigorous exercise regime and contentious dieting.
Within six months, monitoring his physical body composition changes using an InBody system, like the one ALPHA’s TRT, Weight Loss, or Peptide Therapy clients have access to free of charge, Greg had eliminated anti-depressant and anti-anxiety medication, gained 30lb of muscle, and shed 30lb of fat, completely reforming his physical and mental wellbeing.
During the process of this change, Greg and Kawai talked about the lack of resources available to men to support their wellbeing as they become older, and also the lack of resources to support optimization of approaches to TRT and Weight Loss. They discussed that it was only through Greg’s perseverance, initiative and research that he had been able to put together the building blocks to transform his own wellbeing. Although Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) was a key component, the holistic lifestyle changes that Greg employed along the way were also building blocks to his personal transformation, and there was a distinct lack of resources out there to support others.
